The Schwalbe Aerothan Tube with aluminium valve stem offers a perfect blend of lightness, stability, and sustainability. Its robust aluminium valve ensures improved handling and durability, while the ultra-light TPU material provides minimal rolling resistance and excellent puncture protection, making it a top performer in tests. Made using ChemCycling® technology from recycled pyrolysis oil, it supports the circular economy and reduces fossil resource use. Compatible with all pumps, Schwalbe Airmax, Bosch Speed Sensor, and Clik Valve systems, this next-generation tube sets new standards for riders who prioritize high performance and environmental responsibility. Aerothan tubes are crafted from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) including the valve, this material enables tubes that are roughly 40% lighter than Schwalbe's comparable Extralight butyl tubes and offer extremely low rolling resistance—on par with tubeless systems. They also deliver notable puncture protection and maintain shape—even at low pressure—and are fully recyclable. 1
